Ashfield District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Repairs Technician – Damp, Mould and Disrepair to join the team based in Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,598 - £31,022 per annum, plus tool allowance.

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Multiskilled Housing Repair Technician to join our damp, mould & disrepair team. You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to our housing stock, ensuring homes are safe, secure, and well-maintained for our residents.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating).
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete jobs to a high standard.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed using mobile technology.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the organisation professionally at all times.
