Ashfield District Council are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy Income Team (Housing Management Department) as an apprentice to support colleagues with tasks associated with Income Collection. You will be dealing with contact from our tenants, generating letters and other correspondence and inputting data. The successful candidate will be supported to conduct a wide range of administration and office tasks. This role is the ideal opportunity for someone looking to start their career in social housing or an office environment and will provide the chance to work with experienced colleagues to learn more about social housing.

Responsibilities

  • Support colleagues with tasks associated with Income Collection.
  • Deal with contact from tenants, generate letters and other correspondence, and input data.
  • Undertake a wide range of administration and office tasks as part of the Income Team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A good level of English, Maths and ICT.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Apprenticeship and Work Details

You will undertake a level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with West Notts College in addition to your learning in the role. The role will be predominantly office based at our Urban Road offices in Kirkby in Ashfield and will consist of 37 hours work over 5 days (Monday to Friday) with some college attendance. The apprenticeship duration is 18 months with up to 3 months for End Point Assessment.

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Duration: 18 months (plus up to 3 months for End Point Assessment)

Additional Details

It is essential for the successful candidate to have a good level of English, Maths and ICT. You will also need to demonstrate your communication skills, interpersonal skills and that you are able to work as a team.
