We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare and serve high-quality coffee and food items, and ensure a welcoming environment for all guests. Prior barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; a passion for the food industry and excellent communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a timely manner
- Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, and light food items following established recipes and food safety standards
- Manage customer transactions accurately using cash, credit, or mobile payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those eager to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and serve customers effectively
This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills in the food industry while providing excellent service to our valued guests. Shifts will be available between Monday to Saturday, 7am to 4.30pm. We do not open on Sundays.
