Rota: 2-week rolling rota
Location: Gateshead (In person)

About the Role


We are looking for caring, motivated Support Workers to join our established team supporting people with learning disabilities.This is a rewarding role where you will support people to live full, meaningful lives, develop independence, and achieve personal goals. Every day is different, and you will play a key role in helping the people we support feel safe, valued, and empowered.


You will be part of a highly supportive team with approachable, experienced managers who are committed to your wellbeing, development, and career progression.


Who You Will Support


You will be supporting:



  • 6 adults with learning disabilities

  • People who require personal care and emotional support

  • Individuals who may display occasional behaviours of distress

  • People who need support with daily living skills and developing independence


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide person-centred support in line with individual support plans

  • Support with personal care, daily living tasks, and community activities

  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity

  • Use Positive Behaviour Support approaches

  • Encourage skill development and meaningful activities

  • Work as part of a team to maintain safe, high-quality support


About You (Ideal Candidate)


We are looking for someone who is:



  • Positive, reliable, and enthusiastic

  • Passionate about improving quality of life for others

  • Comfortable supporting people with behaviours of distress

  • Knowledgeable (or willing to learn) about Positive Behaviour Support

  • Proactive in planning activities and opportunities

  • Open to learning and professional development


Experience in care is helpful but not essential- the right values and attitude are most important.
