Our client, a national innovation organisation, that focuses on place-based growth, transport and infrastructure is looking for an Investment Lead. Working across government, industry and high-growth businesses, they improve how people live, move and work across the UK.

This is a 3-month temp to perm opportunity paying up to £300 per day and up to £62,000 thereafter with great benefits. The role is hybrid, with 2 days a week at either the company’s Central London or Milton Keynes sites. The role offers a hybrid working model and a progressive 9-day fortnight, with every other Friday off, providing genuine flexibility alongside meaningful, impact-driven work.

This is a strategic role focused on strengthening engagement and increasing investment into funded start-ups and SMEs. You will develop and manage a strong investor network, while working closely with SMEs to assess and strengthen their investment readiness. You’ll support founders in refining their value proposition, business model and valuation approach, and connect investment-ready businesses with aligned investors.

You will also contribute to shaping new investment propositions, including potential fund structures, using insight from both investors and SMEs to inform future initiatives, while supporting commercial growth.
