The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.

Through supportive leadership of our dedicated team, the Estate Manager is responsible for the planning and upkeep of our beautiful acre site, maintaining high standards with regard to presentation and safety. This role provides the opportunity to work within a range of outdoor spaces in the heart of Ashdown Forest that includes parkland, woodland, walled garden, planted areas and golf course. This is an important role within our leadership team, with significant impact on Guest experience in remit. The successful applicant will be a positive contributor, willing to get involved in wider Hotel activities and relevant special events as required.

Attributes & Experience

  • Previous experience in leading and developing teams
  • Experience of planning annual schedules of work for grounds and machinery maintenance
  • Relevant qualifications in Horticulture, Landscape or Estate Management and Health & Safety
  • Budgeting and procurement experience
  • Understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation
  • Aware of machinery maintenance and sustainability practices
