This is an opportunity to work on a casual basis within Ashdown Park Hotel as a Housekeeping Supervisor. Working as part of the wider housekeeping team, you will have responsibility for a dedicated number of guest bedrooms ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness as well as checking the work of others and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the public areas of the Hotel. You will be part of a close knit and dedicated Housekeeping & Laundry team who maintain the high standards of cleanliness expected by our guests. You will be cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms, replenishing amenities and assisting with the cleaning of public areas as well as checking the work of other Housekeeping staff on shift. The role is a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening the hotel’s excellent reputation and helping to provide our guests with distinctly memorable experiences. Various shifts are available which can include daytime, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- To prepare and check allocated rooms for guests staying at the hotel.
- Be constantly aware of guest needs and recognise the expectations of guests.
- To anticipate guest requirements and take appropriate action.
- Have a genuine passion for high standards of cleanliness and presentation with excellent attention to detail.
Key Attributes:
- Experience as a cleaner or housekeeper is preferred although not essential as full training will be given.
- Once trained, ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and guests in a friendly professional manner.
- Customer-oriented.
- Prioritisation and time management skills.
- Working quickly without compromising quality.
