Senior Active Directory Identity Migration Consultant Contract | £600 per day | Outside IR35 | 3 months | Immediate start
Location: London / International time zones We are seeking an experienced Senior Active Directory Identity Migration Consultant to support a major enterprise identity transformation programme.
This is a high-impact contract role focused on consolidating multiple Active Directory environments into a single target domain.
The programme includes UPN and primary email address changes, device domain migrations, user-profile migrations, permissions remediation, and the management of complex downstream dependencies across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, SSO-integrated applications, file shares and legacy systems.
As the programme progresses, several application, access and permissions dependencies have been identified.
We are therefore looking for a technically strong contractor who combines deep migration expertise with broad enterprise infrastructure experience.
You will work closely with internal project teams, third-party suppliers and business stakeholders to shape and deliver the remaining phases of the migration programme.
Key responsibilities Deliver large-scale Active Directory and identity transformation activities.
Support the consolidation of multiple AD environments into a single target Active Directory domain.
Lead and support UPN and primary email address change activities.
Deliver device domain migrations and user-profile migration activities.
Identify, assess and remediate permissions, access and application dependencies.
Support hybrid identity integration across Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
Work with SSO-integrated applications, file shares and legacy systems to manage migration impacts.
Collaborate with technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure a controlled, successful migration.
Essential experience Proven experience delivering large-scale Active Directory and identity transformation projects.
Strong hands-on experience with Quest migration tooling.
Demonstrable experience delivering Microsoft Identity and primary email address change programmes.
Experience with hybrid identity, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
Experience of AD domain migrations, device migrations and user-profile migrations.
Strong understanding of permissions remediation, access management and application dependency mapping.
Experience managing migration impacts across SSO-integrated applications, file shares and legacy systems.
Ability to operate effectively in a complex enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
