Procurement Administrator in Orsett

We're looking for an organised, detail-focused Procurement Administrator to join our client, a specialist construction company. Reporting to the Head of Procurement you'll manage documentation, coordinate with suppliers and help keep purchasing running smoothly. The position is based at the company’s offices in the Grays area of Essex.

Key responsibilities

Support the Procurement team with sourcing goods and services, following approved procurement processes. Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions and supplier documentation. Liaise with approved suppliers for quotes, specifications and delivery information. Maintain supplier database and procurement tracking systems. Coordinate urgent procurement requests under guidance from the department manager. Maintain accurate procurement records, including reports, purchase orders and supplier contracts. Support supplier onboarding, performance tracking and database management. Assist with supplier prequalification and due diligence, including collecting and verifying documentation. Provide administrative support for procurement meetings, training and audits

You’ll have

• Previous experience within a procurement support role
• Confident in maintaining supplier databases
• High level of data accuracy and good numeracy skills
• Strong organisational skills and able to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and able to deal with multi-level stakeholders
• Excellent time management skills
