A well-established IT services provider is seeking an Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for a key medium-sized client based in Central London. This is an Inside IR35 contract for 3-12 weeks and paying up to £185 per day.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Hardware and software support, escalating as needed
- Assisting with network, hardware, and software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting
- Maintaining detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations
In order to be suitable, you must be available to start immediately (Friday 3rd / Monday 6th) with a short commute to central London (every day). It is also essential to have the following:
- Proven experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support, ideally within an MSP environment or on-site support setting
- Strong technical skills, including Windows 11, MS 365 (Office, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), Active Directory and Windows Server, iOS device support (iPhone / iPad / basic Mac), networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, WiFi, VPN, DNS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to service delivery
- First-class communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
