A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Cisco Network Engineer to join its growing technology team. This is a key role with responsibility for the design, delivery, and ongoing support of a global enterprise network, working in a complex, high-availability environment. You will play a pivotal role in modernising network infrastructure, driving technical improvements, and providing senior-level support across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support large-scale enterprise networks
  • Take ownership of network enhancements and infrastructure modernisation initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members
  • Deliver Level 3 network support and participate in an on-call rota
  • Implement and support routing, switching, firewall, and SD-WAN solutions
  • Integrate switches, routers, wireless controllers, SDN, load balancers, NAC servers, and cloud platforms
  • Ensure network security, resilience, and high availability across global environments

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience designing and implementing networks in a large user or enterprise environment
  • Strong Cisco background (ideally CCNP or CCIE)
  • In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, VTP, STP)
  • Experience with high-availability technologies (vPC, SVL, HSRP)
  • Strong understanding of routing protocols
  • Hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies
  • Experience with Cisco Wireless solutions
