We are partnering with a growing and dynamic financial services SME to recruit an experienced Senior HR Business Partner. This is a high-impact role supporting leaders across multiple European locations, providing both strategic and operational HR expertise within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Reporting into the Head of HR, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, driving people initiatives that support business growth, regulatory compliance, and organisational effectiveness. You will also manage one direct report and play a key role in developing and enhancing HR processes, systems, and governance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership teams across Europe to deliver strategic HR support and guidance.
  • Lead on a broad range of generalist HR activities including employee relations, performance management, organisational design, talent management, and workforce planning.
  • Manage and develop an HR team member, ensuring a high-quality HR service is delivered across the business.
  • Support business change initiatives, including TUPE transfers, restructures, and integration projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the Financial Conduct Authority's Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR/FMCR), supporting governance and regulatory obligations.
  • Drive improvements to HR systems, processes, and reporting capabilities, leveraging data to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple European jurisdictions, balancing local requirements with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of people strategies aligned to organisational goals.

About You

  • Proven experience operating as a Senior HR Business Partner within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong generalist HR background with the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on.
  • Demonstrable experience managing TUPE transfers and supporting organisational change programmes.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of SMCR/FMCR requirements.
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports.
  • Strong HR systems experience, including implementation, optimisation, or enhancement projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
  • Experience supporting multi-country or European populations would be highly advantageous.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent preferred.
