We’re partnering with a highly respected membership-based organisation to recruit an experienced IT Data Engineer & Analyst for an initial 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative internal IT team during a major transformation programme involving Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and modern data services.
This role offers a broad, hands‑on remit across data engineering, reporting, automation, and platform improvement. It would suit someone who enjoys working across multiple technologies in a delivery‑focused environment rather than operating solely at a strategic or architectural level.

As part of a wider transition to a managed service provider, the successful candidate will help support migration activities while also driving interim improvements to data quality, analytics capability, integrations, and reporting structures.
Key Responsibilities- Data Management & Quality
- Assess current data structures and implement improvements
- Support data governance, security, and compliance controls
- Contribute to data cleansing, verification, and retention initiatives
- Assist with API integrations and data connectivity across multiple platforms
- Support MSSQL and MySQL/MariaDB environments
- Reporting & Analytics
- Upgrade and migrate Power BI reports into Fabric/PBIP formats
- Develop reporting solutions that improve visibility of business metrics
- Integrate and analyse additional data sources across the organisation
- Automation & Platform Improvement
- Develop and enhance Power Automate cloud flows
- Improve underlying data structures to support enhanced analytics and future AI capability
- Collaborate on practical platform enhancements across the Microsoft ecosystem
- Project & Migration Support
- Support ongoing platform migration activities
- Assist with testing, documentation, and data verification
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers
We’re looking for someone with strong technical capability combined with a collaborative, adaptable approach.
Essential Experience- Strong experience across data platforms, modelling, transformation, and reporting
- Advanced Power BI development skills
- Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts
- Experience integrating data via APIs, dataflows, and connectors
- Experience improving and optimising data quality across multiple systems
- Knowledge of data protection and cybersecurity best practices
It's highly desirable you have Microsoft Fabric experience, Dynamics 365 CE exposure with wider Microsoft Power Platform experience, experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, and experience migrating or modernising reporting environments.
