We’re currently recruiting for an I ncome Recovery Officer to join a well-established organisation based in South-West London.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in income recovery, debt recovery or housing, who enjoys working with complex cases and supporting customers to find sustainable solutions.
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied caseload involving rent arrears and more complex financial circumstances, working with customers and a range of stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Managing complex rent arrears and income recovery cases.
- Supporting customers with significant arrears and identifying solutions to help them maintain their tenancies where possible.
- Managing former tenancy arrears and cases where the tenancy has ended.
- Preparing legal documentation and progressing cases through relevant legal processes.
- Representing cases at court possession proceedings.
- Managing complex and sensitive customer situations in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, including solicitors.
- Working across different housing tenure types and applying appropriate debt recovery approaches.
- Using knowledge of welfare benefits to help identify suitable solutions for customers.
