Overview
We are looking for a details-oriented and commercially aware Contracts Adviser to join a London-based compliance team at a growing international market research organisation. This is a remote role, with the team headquartered in London and some work occasionally touching on international operations.
The role will focus primarily on reviewing, negotiating, and advising on contracts within the UK, while also supporting on cross-border agreements where needed. We value practical experience, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment over formal qualifications.
What you’ll be doing
- Reviewing and analysing client contracts (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs, etc.), primarily for UK clients.
- Identifying legal, financial, and operational risks while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, particularly GDPR.
- Negotiating terms directly with clients or their representatives to achieve balanced, pragmatic outcomes.
- Collaborating with internal teams across legal, commercial, research, operations, and data protection.
- Drafting amendments, addenda, and redlines to contracts.
- Helping maintain contract templates, standard clauses, and efficient processes for contract management.
- Staying informed on UK legal and regulatory changes that affect contractual obligations.
- Supporting with US-related agreements and data privacy considerations when required.
