An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef looking for a better work life balance without compromising on the quality of the cuisine. This beautiful vineyard offers a variety of dining options from 4 course luxury meals to set menus for up to 80 covers and indulgent picnics for the warmer months. With a team of professional chefs, they prepare modern British menus, and everything is made in house.
Currently it is a one-year contract to cover maternity, however there is the possibility of it becoming a permanent role as they continue to expand their operations.

The ideal Sous Chef will have previous managerial experience within a fresh food kitchen and be passionate about both food and wine. Your role will involve supporting the Head Chef with all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen.
Duties including:
- Assisting with the menu design, incorporating fresh, seasonal produce
- Assist with stock control and ordering
- Staff training and development
- Ensuring health, safety and hygiene procedures are being adhered to
- Monitor food quality and consistency
- Take full control of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
