We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Ashcroft Veterinary Surgery on a full-time basis. Ashcroft Vets is based on the main road through Frodsham, a charming and well-connected market town. We’re just a short walk from the train station and within easy reach of local amenities, making this a great location for those looking to join a friendly community practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a varied nursing position where no two days are the same. You will be involved in inpatient care, anaesthesia, theatre support, nurse consultations, pharmacy duties, preparing kits, restocking, and delivering exceptional client communication. This is a full‑time role working 40 hours per week across 4 x 10-hour days, Monday to Friday, plus a 1 in 5 Saturday rota working 9:00am to 1:00pm.

  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
  • Run nurse consultations and support preventative healthcare
  • Provide excellent client communication and contribute to the smooth running of the practice
