We are a small GP practice in Wing, Leighton Buzzard. We are looking for a receptionist to join our well-established team of reception staff. Experience of working in a similar role in a GP practice would be preferred but training will be given to the right candidate. We operate EMIS clinical system.
Main duties of the job:
- As a receptionist, you will work as part of a team dealing with patients on the telephone or at the reception desk.
- Duties will cover booking appointments, answering queries, dealing with test results and filing of clinical letters onto patient records.
- It is essential in the role that applicants are flexible in offering additional support to their contracted hours to help cover colleagues' annual leave or sickness in reception.
About us:
The practice patient size is approximately 4,800 patients. We have an experienced team of GPs, Nurses and administration staff. We have on-site our own dispensary. We work together very much as a team.
Job responsibilities:
- Duties as previously described. The post is varied and you will find that multi-tasking is part of the role in a busy environment.

- Monday 2.00pm - 6.30pm
- Tuesday 7.45am - 2.00pm
- Thursday 7.45am - 11.00am
- Friday 2.00pm - 6.30pm
Person Specification:
- Experience of working in a GP practice desirable in a similar role.
- Use of clinical system EMIS desirable.
