Role Overview:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, managing all aspects of cost estimation for a range of construction projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and documents to understand scope and requirements
- Lead and coordinate tender/bid submissions and cost proposals
- Collaborate with project and procurement teams to optimise cost strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, trends, and pricing
- Review post-tender results and support value engineering processes
Requirements:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in construction estimating (commercial and/or residential)
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
