We are looking for an experienced and skilled practice nurse to join our small friendly team at Ashchurch Medical Centre.

Main duties of the job:

  • The candidate should have core knowledge and skills in the management of long-term conditions, i.e. Diabetes, Asthma, Dementia, etc.
  • Childhood Immunisations
  • Travel Vaccinations
  • Wound management
  • INR
  • ABPM
  • Cervical screening
  • Other enhanced services

The candidate should have the ability to work in a team, have good IT skills, and strive to work for continuous improvement in their working role. The candidate should be able to treat patients with dignity, respect, and compassion.

About us:

We are a small friendly team of 3 GPs, regular locums, HCA, and admin staff. We work closely with community teams and with staff within our PCN to provide quality healthcare to patients.

Job responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and skills in the management of patients with long-term medical conditions (Qof, Enhanced Services, Care Planning)
  • Cervical Screening
  • Simple and Complex Wound management
  • ECG, ABPM, INR
  • Training and skills in the prevention of infection control

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: BSc in Nursing OR equivalent qualifications for Fit to Practice
  • Experience of working in general practice
  • Knowledge of SystmOne
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
