We are looking for an experienced and skilled practice nurse to join our small friendly team at Ashchurch Medical Centre.
Main duties of the job:
- The candidate should have core knowledge and skills in the management of long-term conditions, i.e. Diabetes, Asthma, Dementia, etc.
- Childhood Immunisations
- Travel Vaccinations
- Wound management
- INR
- ABPM
- Cervical screening
- Other enhanced services
The candidate should have the ability to work in a team, have good IT skills, and strive to work for continuous improvement in their working role. The candidate should be able to treat patients with dignity, respect, and compassion.
About us:
We are a small friendly team of 3 GPs, regular locums, HCA, and admin staff. We work closely with community teams and with staff within our PCN to provide quality healthcare to patients.
Job responsibilities:
- Core Key Duties
- Knowledge and Skills in management of patients with long-term medical conditions (Qof, Enhanced Services, Care Planning)
- Cervical Screening
- Simple and Complex Wound management
- ECG, ABPM, INR
- Training and Skills of Prevention of infection control
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: BSc in Nursing OR equivalent qualifications for Fit to Practice
- Experience of working in general practice
- Knowledge of SystmOne
