Director (MEP+S)Oxford An established building services consultancy based in the South West are looking for a Director to help set up their Oxford office.
This consultancy who have 6 offices around the UK have a first class reputation for delivering projects on some of the most recognisable buildings in the UK.
As an Director is to further develop a brand for this consultancies Oxford office by improving output, introducing new techniques and products, providing mentorship to Senior and Associate level engineers, and good client relationship management with the view of winning new and repeat work.
This is a great role for someone who wants to join a start up office, with the support of other Directors.
Within this role you will be responsible for: You will be in a client facing role, attending project meetings and disseminating the brief within the project team.
You will need to be of personable nature and a good communicator.
You will lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
Providing a lead role in an integrated project design team with other construction professionals.
Taking responsibility for solid technical delivery in your work either alone or part of a team.
Engage with junior support staff in their day-to-day activities and offer advice and guidance to ensure that they develop their skills and they become the best engineers.
You will be financially astute and work with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resource and work delivered.
Looking at new ways of working and taking time out for innovation and research ensuring we keep abreast of our competitors.
Candidates should have the below experience: Knowledge and experience delivering high accredited buildings in the UKAt least 8 years experience within MEP Design Ideally experience with business development, or an interest in it.
Experience working in a client facing role Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineer, Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
Chartered or working towards Chartership
