Building Surveyor/ Project ManagerNorfolk/ East Anglia region£40,000 - £60,000Ashbys Consulting are currently working with a Multi-Disciplinary Company offering a full range of Building Consultancy and Project Management services. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Building Surveyor to join their busy team based in Norwich. Although the office is based in Norwich, the role will involve travel across the country and mainly East Anglia. The Project Manager/Building Surveyor will be expected to provide an effective service to the practice's clients. You will be able to assist the team and take responsibility for a range of multidisciplinary projects as PM or BS lead for projects mainly within the defence sector.
Duties will include: Weekly contact with the team in NorwichControlling expenditure and Budgets.
Update the Director's on progress and other matters associated with the delivery of projects within the team. Assisting the Director's by overseeing the work being delivered by junior members of the team. A key requirement for this role is for the individual to be client facing and can think beyond the client's needs in a high-pressured environment. To assess tenders and make recommendations to client. To assist in the appointment of other consultants, specialist contractors etc. when necessary. Essesntial expeirence needed: Chartered Membership of the RICS (MRICS). A strong understanding of regulations associated with defence UK MoD/USAF.Experience in managing multidisciplinary design teams. Experience with Autocad, Revit, Sketchup. Experience in the defence or security sector. Full UK driving licence.
