MEP Project Manager Manchester £60,000 - £65,000 + Package. Ashbys Consulting are currently recruiting for an MEP Project Manager with healthcare construction experience to work for a strong MEP Contractor in Manchester. The successful applicant will join the business to take their latest project from inception to completion, and enhance the company’s strong reputation delivering healthcare projects in the North West.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering plans for projects under their control and monitoring subsequent performance, taking corrective action where appropriate.
  • Ensuring project design and specifications are adhered to and liaising with the client's mechanical and engineering consultant.
  • Monitoring construction against programme, quality and other metrics and preparing progress reports for submission to clients.
  • Chairing project meetings and preparing meeting minutes, actions etc.
  • Managing the integrated consultancy teams.
  • Developing and improving team performance (locally); formulating and implementing a local and project service delivery plan in consultation with the line manager.
  • Implementing and monitoring relevant project control and administration systems in accordance with the Currie & Brown business management system (especially national quality standards for the services provided).
  • Undertaking primary responsibility for compliance with the company's health and safety policy and other appropriate corporate policies.
  • Managing, as appropriate, team administration, ensuring facilities and working practices follow national guidelines and are appropriate for all staff.
  • Delivering the services as set out by the service division and terms of commission appointment.

Requirements:

  • A technical qualification in project management or another technical profession.
  • Membership of MCIBSE, MIMechE, MIEE or similar.
  • Preferably professionally qualified with evidence of managerial training.
  • Experience of working in live operational environments.
  • Technical delivery experience gained within a large organisation.
  • Experience assisting with fee negotiations and advising on parameters in which negotiations can take place.
  • Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external).
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, disciplined and commercially astute.
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible.
