Senior Quantity SurveyorEast London£60,000 - £70,000Ashbys Consulting are working with one of East London's leading main contractors who are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver a variety of residential, commercial and educational projects across the South East, with projects typically valued from £5-15m.As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be managing the entire commercial management process of several live projects at various stages of completion. You will need a proven track record of working in a main contracting environment, and have an established, relevant project portfolio. The company offer a stable and supportive working environment, which has very low staff turnover and very high repeat business from their clients. Specific duties include: Review internal and external specification and assess cost impactsProcure subcontract packages to specification and budgetNegotiate best value whilst maintaining expected levels of quality and workmanshipWork with the Technical Department to value engineer developments and reduce build costWork with the Production Department during procurement and throughout the build process to ensure smooth construction and swift conflict resolutionSettlement of final accountsForecast and mitigate cost riskGenerate accurate payments in a timely manner in accordance with authorisation levels and commercial proceduresReport on cost movements and budgets as required You will be rewarded with a generous salary and benefits package, and your ambition and personal progression will be fully supported in the long term.
