Our large Multi-Discpline are looking for an Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to come and work with them to help with their ever-increasing work load.
You will be based out of their Ipswich office and come and join them on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be looking to grow with the company and expected to grow in to a Principal engineer within a short time period, so it is important they are ambitious and focused.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced mechanical engineer and to join our team and lead on the design of some of the most exciting mechanical design projects in the UK.
As a leading figure in our established team of expert engineers and technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare and oversee detailed engineering designs using appropriate design software.
You will work across a variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Retail and Residential and will take responsibility for the management of projects to achieve financial and time deadlines – attending and leading project and design meetings to ensure successful planning, allocation and coordination of work.
You will be given the opportunity to become involved in a wider range of activities beyond just the technical, including supervision and management of staff, the management of client relationships, the financial management of projects and the marketing of the Practice’s services, which will provide a sound basis for further career progression in the future.
Candidate should have the following experience: Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering, Building services engineering or architectural engineering At least 5 years post grad experience working in a consultancy A passion for sustainability within the built environment with experience Experience working on industry software.
The client have recently won a large amount of work in the residential sector, so previous project experience in this sector would be highly beneficial.
