Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Revit Technician to join our Cardiff office and play a key role in the development and coordination of BIM deliverables across multiple projects.
The Role
As a Senior Revit Technician, you will lead the production and coordination of high-quality MEP Revit models and technical drawings, supporting engineers and project teams from concept through to construction. You will be a key part of the BIM delivery process, helping to maintain standards, improve workflows, and ensure project information is delivered accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D MEP drawings and coordinated Revit models
- Lead BIM/Revit coordination across multidisciplinary project teams
- Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to develop design documentation
- Participate in clash detection and model coordination reviews
- Maintain and develop BIM standards, templates, and best practices
- Support junior technicians and provide mentoring where required
- Liaise with architects, contractors, and external consultants
- Ensure all drawings and models are delivered to programme and quality standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of digital delivery processes
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Building Services consultancy environment
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP
- Strong understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and coordinated design workflows
- Experience producing detailed MEP technical drawings and models
- Familiarity with Navisworks and AutoCAD
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects independently
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience working on complex or high-specification projects
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards
- Familiarity with Dynamo or other BIM automation tools
- Understanding of sustainability-led design and modern construction methods
