Salary: £58,000 - £68,000

Contract: Full-time, permanent, will consider four days pw

Location: London office – 2 days pw

We have a great opportunity for a Principal Gifts Lead, this newly created role will be reporting to the Director of Fundraising, working for a national charity with a truly local impact. This organisation supports young people growing up in disadvantaged areas to discover their passion and purpose. Their work is really tangible, you will be able to directly show donors the impact of their support and work alongside an incredibly talented team.

The successful candidate will source and manage relationships with high-value donors across corporates and individuals. You will have exposure to senior volunteers and Trustees, working closely with them to map their networks and facilitate peer to peer fundraising. You must thrive on generating new business and demonstrate self-motivation to grow your own pool of potential donors.

As part of this exciting role, you will have a solid understanding of how best to approach both corporate prospects and individuals. You will be an ambassador for the work carried out by the charity and be confident, a great listener and creative in your approach to successful asks.

To be successful as the Principal Gifts Lead you will need:

  • Proven experience and track record of personally securing six-figure gifts from donors
  • Experience of developing a new pipeline of prospective donors/clients/customers
  • Strong internal stakeholder management experience, ideally working with boards.
