The Logistics Operative will play a key role within the logistics team, supporting both after‑sales and production functions by ensuring efficient material flow and stock accuracy. The Logistics Operative will be responsible for picking, issuing, and managing parts, as well as supporting inventory reduction and warehouse operations. This position requires a detail‑oriented Logistics Operative who can work methodically within a fast‑paced automotive environment.
Location: Woking
Hours: 07:30 am – 04:30 pm Monday to Friday
Contract: 6 months/Inside IR35
Role & Responsibilities:
- Support the picking and issuing of production materials for customer sales and vehicle production.
- Assist with inbound and outbound stock movements and internal material handling.
- Carry out cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Identify, locate, and manage parts within the warehouse environment.
- Provide stock data and location updates for audit and reporting purposes.
- Support inventory reduction activities, including identification and removal of obsolete stock.
- Maintain warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards.
- Use SAP systems to manage stock movements and material tracking.
Requirements:
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Automotive sector knowledge with an understanding of basic vehicle components.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
- Methodical and organised approach to work.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
