Our client is a leading international manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa. They are looking for a Machine Operator to join their existing team on a temporary, ongoing basis.
The Machine Operator Role:
- Operating and running machines on-site within the press shop.
- Manufacturing components to a high standard.
- Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
- Using engineering measuring equipment such as Vernier’s, callipers, or Micrometres.
- Maintaining machinery by cleaning it and ensuring it is in working order, and checking and ordering materials needed.
- Working with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium.
- Removing and cleaning finished parts ready for production.
- Completing your own quality control checks.
- Completion of documentation.
- Keeping to tight deadlines and targets.
The ideal Machine Operator:
- Previous experience of operating Press, Laser, or Brake machines.
- Setting experience would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Can prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision.
- Applicants will need to demonstrate attention to detail and reliability.
- Must be a self-motivated individual.
Shifts:
- Days: Monday to Thursday (20-minute break).
- Rotating Fortnightly shifts: Monday to Thursday and on Friday (20 minutes break).
- Nights: Monday to Thursday am and Friday 20.00 to 03.00.
39 hrs per week + possible overtime.
