A well-established manufacturing company that specialises in heavy-duty vehicles is looking to recruit a Laser Operator to join their small team based in Leamington Spa on a permanent basis.
The Laser Operator Role
- Operating and running the Laser machines
- Manufacturing components to a high standard
- Ability to interpret and work with CAD/engineering drawings
- Using engineering measuring equipment such as Vernier’s, callipers, or Micrometres
- Maintaining machinery by cleaning it, making sure it is in working order and checking and ordering materials needed
- Working with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
- Removing and cleaning finished parts ready for Production
- Daily TMP checks and general maintenance of Laser machines, replacing specific parts, nozzles, lenses etc.
- Completing your own quality control checks
- Completion of documentation
- Keeping to tight deadlines and targets
The Ideal Laser Operator
- Experience with either Amada, Bystronic or Trumpf machines would be beneficial
- Machine operating experience
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines, setting would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Has the ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision
- Applicants will need to demonstrate attention to detail and reliability
- Must be a self-motivated individual
