Job Overview: CNC Turner wanted to join a renowned engineering consultancy based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, paying £22.06 – £24.56 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance) on either a weekday night shift or weekend shift. Join a global engineering consultancy renowned for their focus on sustainability and century-long innovation. Combining high-performance engineering with cutting-edge technology, this is your opportunity to be an integral cog in the delivery of innovative solutions to complex challenges, blending your technical expertise with strategic insight. You will join a team focusing on delivering small-batch, high-quality transmission components for motorsport and aerospace industries. This role will support small batch CNC turning work for high quality transmission components, working in a small, highly skilled team whilst supported by offline programming tools.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting technical drawings and planning route cards to produce components within routed timeframes
- Operating CNC lathes; ideally: Victor Turn II 26 HD, Leadwell LTC 25iL with Siemens 828D, Doosan Puma GT3100
Qualifications & Skills:
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls is essential; knowledge of Siemens controls is advantageous
- Reading, understanding, and editing CNC programmes, including modifying speeds and feeds as necessary
- Working knowledge of turning tips and their correct applications
- Experience operating a small manual lathe or Harrison Alpha 400 plus NC lathe would be advantageous
Pay & Hours: Night Shift, Monday – Thursday 21:15 – 07:00 on a 37-hour per week contract. Weekend shifts, Friday – Sunday: Fri 11:30am-12am, Sat 1pm – 1:30am, Sun 1pm – 1:30am on a 36-hour contract.
Note: This role is deemed inside IR35. The final Umbrella PAYE pay rate offered will be inclusive of the assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitment’s contribution towards employer costs.
