You will work in the Gear Cutting department, manufacturing high‑quality transmission components for motorsport and aerospace, operating shaping and hobbing CNC machines and ensuring accuracy, quality and a right‑first‑time philosophy.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings and plan route cards to deliver components within scheduled timeframes.
- Operate gear manufacturing CNC machines – e.g., Gleason GP300 ES Shaping Machine, Gleason‑Pfauter 200 Hobbing Machine, Liebherr LC20 Hobbing Machine.
- Cut and shape key components such as spur gears, helical gears and splines using hobs and gear data provided in drawings.
- Read, understand and edit CNC programmes, modifying speeds and feeds as necessary.
- Maintain a right‑first‑time philosophy, ensuring accuracy and quality of every part.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Gear Cutter CNC Machinist.
- Hands‑on knowledge of shaping and hobbing machines.
- Ability to work with technical drawings and operating route cards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive, innovative approach.
