Apex Recruitment is supporting the recruitment of a Repair Technician – Sealant Systems (Mechanical Bias) to join a leading automotive manufacturing facility in Solihull. This position is initially offered on a rolling contract basis, with a strong opportunity for permanent conversion following a successful review period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance and fault-finding activities on sealant application systems to ensure optimum production performance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair faults on sealant application equipment and associated systems.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
- Perform mechanical inspections and component replacements as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality procedures.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
- Strong mechanical or technician background.
- Experience within automotive, manufacturing or production environments.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a Repair Technician – Sealant Systems (Mechanical Bias) would be advantageous.
This position is offered on a rolling contract basis, with the opportunity for permanent employment following a successful review period. The successful Repair Technician – Sealant Systems (Mechanical Bias) will work within a busy manufacturing environment supporting production operations.
Working HoursCandidates will generally work a rotating three-shift pattern:
- Mornings: 06:00 – 13:30
- Afternoons: 13:30 – 21:00
- Nights: 21:00 – 06:00
There may also be a requirement to work double days:
- Early Shift: 06:00 – 14:00
- Late Shift: 14:00 – 22:00
Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The Umbrella Pay Rate offered is inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitment's contribution towards Employer Costs.
