As a Procurement Specialist, you will be accountable for acquiring the goods and services necessary for the organisation’s operational needs, with a specific focus on indirect operations such as office supplies, computers, travel, maintenance, machine parts, and more. The role involves managing a full spectrum of procurement processes, including product/service sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation of pricing and terms, order processing, contract administration, and supplier performance management. This role requires a results-driven individual with strong commercial awareness and proven negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Product/Service Sourcing: Identify and source goods/services required by the organisation.
- Supplier Selection: Evaluate and select suppliers based on organisational needs and criteria.
- Pricing/Terms Negotiation: Lead negotiation efforts to ensure favourable pricing and contractual terms.
- Order Processing: Oversee the procurement process, ensuring orders are processed efficiently.
- Contract Administration: Manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance and adherence to agreed terms.
- Supplier Performance Management: Track and evaluate supplier performance, managing relationships and resolving issues.
- Strategic Sourcing: Contribute to strategic sourcing activities as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
