Join a Team of Automotive Experts! Inventory Coordinator desired for a bespoke specialist in vehicle restoration based in Daventry on an initial contracting basis paying £32,000 – £35,000 per annum. Are you ready to launch into the intricate world of vehicle build? We’re seeking a skilled Inventory Coordinator to join a fantastic team at an industry-leading facility in Daventry. About The Role As the Inventory Coordinator , you’ll join in a hands-on role working in the heart of the workshop. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient storage and delivery of consumable goods into and throughout the workshop. This role is more than just a stores position, you will be responsible for setting up processes and ensuring the accurate logging of various parts and components, whilst monitoring stock levels and liaising with indirect purchasing teams on low stock items. Key Responsibilities As the Inventory Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of the storage hub. Your duties will include: Inventory Management Organising, cataloguing, and maintaining accurate records of automotive parts inventory. Monitoring stock levels, tracking orders and ensuring the availability of critical components to meet restoration schedules. Maintaining accurate records of items issued and conduct regular stock counts reconciling with digital records. Implementing systems to track inventory movements and minimise discrepancies. Receipt of non-tangible services, through ERP systems. Quality Control Inspecting incoming parts for quality, authenticity, and usability, ensuring they meet company standards. Properly storing and preserving parts in line with FIFO method to avoid damage or deterioration. Internal Team And Supplier Coordination Distribution of consumables to different departments or teams. Preparing and packaging parts for internal movement into Stores or external dispatch to Suppliers. Process Improvement Identifying opportunities to enhance inventory management systems and processes. Providing consumable related data and insights to support decision making. Implementing best practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Team Collaboration Working closely with technicians, and the Department Leaders to ensure part availability aligns with project timelines. Liaising with the Indirect Purchasing team to ensure stock levels are maintained and available at point of need, with an understanding of lead times. Who We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who brings expertise and passion to this hands-on role: Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in an automotive or mechanical environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive and problem-solving mindset. Familiarity with Excel. Knowledge of automotive components and parts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Hours Day Shift: Monday – Thursday: 7.00am – 16.30pm and Friday 7.00am – 12.15pm with the opportunity for weekday and Saturday overtime.
