About The Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to increase our capability and capacity in this area. This role involves working in a small team to deliver high-quality prismatic transmission components, mainly for the motorsport and aerospace industries, with a right-first-time philosophy. You will be supported by EdgeCam and Delcam offline programming, as well as your team leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce prismatic components from technical drawings and planning route cards to a high standard, working to tight tolerances and within routed timeframes.
- Machine a variety of materials on 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Read and understand Fanuc/ISO programming machine code; perform on-machine programming with support from offline programmers.
- Read, understand, and edit CNC programmes, including adjusting speeds and feeds as required.
- Use measuring equipment to inspect parts against planning and drawing specifications.
- Deburr and fettle components during production to meet required standards.
- Contribute to team support, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
- Support other areas of manufacturing operations when required.
- Work overtime and operate multiple machines when necessary to meet KPIs and delivery deadlines.
- Knowledge of wire erosion is advantageous but not essential.
