The Commercial Lead is responsible for managing and optimising contractual performance within a commercial aerospace aftermarket environment. The Contracts Leader SSO will ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and maximise commercial value across existing and new agreements while supporting cross‑functional teams and engaging directly with customers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee and evaluate existing contracts to ensure full compliance, mitigate potential risks, and drive commercial performance.
- Take ownership of, or contribute to, proposal and Request for Approval (RFA) activities, ensuring all contractual components are robust and in line with governance frameworks.
- Manage the investigation and resolution of claims, disputes, and contractual challenges, working closely with key stakeholders.
- Prepare, review, and update contractual documents and formal correspondence with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Act as a contract’s authority, offering expert guidance and support across departments.
- Lead and assist in customer negotiations, serving as a primary contact for contractual discussions.
- Support cross-functional initiatives, contributing contractual expertise to achieve broader business goals.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in contract management, ideally gained within the aerospace sector or a comparable industry.
- Solid understanding of contract law fundamentals, including terms, structures, and commercial implications.
