Responsibilities
- Work with ORS students with high and very high needs in the Te Whare Manaaki learning support department
- Deliver specialist support in a purpose-built teaching and learning space
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement inclusive learning experiences
- Maintain accurate student progress records and contribute to curriculum planning
- Engage with parents, external agencies and professional support services as required
- Contribute to the ongoing redesign of learning experiences and curriculum change at Ashburton College
Qualifications
- Certified secondary teacher; primary trained teacher also considered
- Experience or knowledge working with students with behavioural, health, or ORS funded needs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Commitment to the school’s strategic focus on Relationships First and E Tū Tāngata
Working Conditions
Location: Ashburton College, 27 Walnut Avenue, Allenton, Ashburton
Commences as soon as practicable in Term 2, 2026.
