We are recruiting on behalf of a successful main contractor based in St Albans. The business delivers a range of residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects across Hertfordshire. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager who is seeking long-term career progression. The role offers a clear route to Head of Operations as the company expands.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of construction projects up to GBP4m in value.
- Oversee programme, quality, health & safety, and commercial performance.
- Lead site teams and ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Work closely with Directors, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Contribute to improving operational processes across the business.
- Progress to overseeing multiple projects and managing Contracts Managers as growth continues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager with a main contractor.
- Background in residential, commercial, institutional, or industrial construction.
