A well-known London based main contractor, who also deliver spec housing, is currently looking to secure a Head of Design & Technical on a 12 Month FTC. This company originally made its name within the industry for delivering new build social housing schemes, but in recent times has started producing housing for sale. Reporting into the Regional Technical Director you will be tasked with leading an in-house team of 10 as well as external consultants.
Responsibilities
- The role requires hitting the ground running and managing design and technical delivery for large residential or social housing projects, in collaboration with internal teams and external consultants.
- Lead the in-house team of 10 and coordinate with external consultants to ensure project objectives, budgets, and timelines are met.
Requirements / Qualifications
The ideal candidate MUST have:
- Experience working for a Main Contractor or Developer on large residential or social housing projects.
- Working as at least a No.2 in a technical department.
- The ability to work on your own initiative.
It is desirable to have:
- Construction related further education.
- Ideally 10+ years’ experience working on residential projects.
