We are working with a leading construction and fire-safety specialist who deliver nationwide Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) works, fire-stopping, and fire-door installation programmes. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team in Oxford.\\n\\nThe Role\\n\\nAs Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring all materials, fire-safety products are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with project requirements. You’ll work closely with site teams, contract managers, and the commercial department to support a busy programme of FRA and fire-door projects across the UK.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * Procuring materials, consumables, plant hire and specialist fire-safety products\\n\\n * Raising purchase orders and managing supplier delivery schedules\\n\\n * Negotiating prices and maintaining strong supplier relationships\\n\\n * Ensuring all products meet FRA, fire-door, and compliance standards\\n\\n * Managing procurement documentation and keeping accurate records\\n\\n * Supporting contract managers with sourcing new suppliers where required\\n\\n * Monitoring stock levels and assisting with warehouse coordination\\n\\n * Maintaining cost control and contributing to commercial reporting\\n\\n * Working with the warehouse manager\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\n * Experience as a Buyer within construction, maintenance, or fire-safety sectors\\n\\n * Knowledge of FRA, fire-stopping, or fire-door materials (desirable, not essential)\\n\\n * Strong negotiation and communication skills\\n\\n * Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines\\n\\n * Good IT and procurement system experience\\n\\n * Organised, proactive and commercially aware\\n\\nWhat’s on Offer\\n\\n * Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience\\n\\n * Opportunity to join a growing specialist contractor in the fire-safety sector\\n\\n * Supportive team environment with long-term development opportunities\\n\\n * Stable, full-time permanent role based in Oxford
