We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a long-established and well-respected regional main contractor based in St Albans, who are seeking to appoint a talented Bid Writer to join their growing pre-construction team.\\n\\nThis business delivers a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects across the commercial, education, residential, and public sectors – typically valued between £1m–£10m. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for high-quality delivery, they’re now looking to strengthen their bid team.\\n\\nThe Role:\\n\\nAs Bid Writer, you will play a key role in producing compelling and high-quality written content for PQQs, tenders, and framework submissions. Working closely with the Pre-Construction Manager, Estimators, and Directors, you'll help shape winning submissions that align with the company’s strengths and values.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * Write clear, concise, and persuasive bid content tailored to each client\\n\\n * Coordinate input from different departments to support responses\\n\\n * Maintain and develop the bid library and case studies\\n\\n * Proofread and quality-check all submissions for consistency and tone\\n\\n * Support with marketing and business development material when needed\\n\\nAbout You:\\n\\n * Proven experience as a Bid Writer in construction or a related sector\\n\\n * Strong writing and communication skills\\n\\n * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively\\n\\n * Knowledge of public and private sector procurement processes is desirable\\n\\nWhat’s on Offer:\\n\\n * Competitive salary (up to £75k depending on experience)\\n\\n * Hybrid working (office-based 3 days a week)\\n\\n * Long-term role with a stable, growing business\\n\\nApply today or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
