Job Description
A leading construction and maintenance contractor is currently seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join their team and support the delivery of high-quality tender submissions across the social housing sector.

Working closely with the Head of Bids and wider operational teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing compelling, high-quality tender responses that clearly demonstrate the company's strengths, capabilities and commitment to delivering exceptional services for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the preparation and submission of high-quality tender responses from initial opportunity through to final submission.
- Develop clear and persuasive written content that meets client requirements and maximises bid success.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including operations, commercial, compliance and business development.
- Lead tender launch meetings and coordinate contributions to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Identify key win themes and ensure they are effectively communicated throughout bid submissions.
- Review client requirements, assess risks and support the development of effective solutions.
- Ensure all bids are compliant with procurement requirements, industry standards and client expectations.
- Support post-tender interviews, presentations and client feedback sessions.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Previous experience in a Bid Writer or Bid Management role within construction, housing maintenance, refurbishment or a related sector.
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience producing successful tender submissions.
- Good understanding of the social housing sector, including housing associations, local authorities and public sector procurement.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce engaging and persuasive content.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Confident working with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify improvements and add value to the bidding process.
