Your Role as Bank Staff
As Bank Staff, you’ll be supporting the nursery team by providing flexible, ad-hoc cover for shifts as needed. Whether it’s helping out when a team member is off sick, covering busy periods, or lending a hand during events, you’ll play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the nursery. You’ll get to work with children across different age groups. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for flexible work in a childcare setting while still making a positive impact on the children’s development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing flexible cover across all age groups and rooms, as required
- Assisting with the care, education, and development of children in line with the EYFS framework
- Supporting the nursery team with daily activities, play, mealtimes, and naptime
- Ensuring the nursery is a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider team
- Helping with observations and recording children’s progress, where needed
- Adhering to all nursery policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and cleanliness
About You
- A passion for working with children and helping them grow and develop
- Experience in an early years setting is preferred, but not essential
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to step into different rooms and age groups
- A friendly, positive attitude with excellent communication skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team and independently when required
- Willingness to learn and follow the nursery’s safeguarding and health & safety guidelines
