Ashbourne Day Nurseries is looking for a caring and organised Chef/Housekeeper to join our friendly team and help provide the very best start in life for the children in our care. As our Chef/Housekeeper, you'll be a vital part of daily life at the nursery. What You'll Be Doing
  • Planning and preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks in line with dietary requirements and allergies
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen
  • Keeping communal areas, kitchens, and children’s spaces clean, tidy, and well-organised
  • Supporting the nursery team in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for children and parents
  • Monitoring and managing stock levels and food orders
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and environmental health regulations
Qualifications
  • You have experience in a similar role – ideally within a nursery, school, care home, or other childcare/healthcare setting.
  • You have a strong understanding of food hygiene, allergens, and nutrition for young children.
  • You hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
  • You’re friendly, organised, and take pride in maintaining high standards.
