p strong Job Title: /strong Admissions Officer for Iran /p p strong Report to: /strong Co-Heads of International Admissions /p p strong Duration: /strong Fixed term contract - 1 year full-time with a view to a long-term position afterwards /p p br /p p strong Job purpose /strong /p p We are seeking a motivated and charismatic individual who is fluent in all aspects of Persian to join our admissions team on a part-time/full time basis. This role will primarily focus on student recruitment, with particular emphasis on engaging prospective students from Iran and other Persian-speaking countries. The ideal candidate will have sales experience, be willing to travel to Iran on a regular basis. /p p br /p p Beyond recruitment, this role involves maintaining strong relationships with the students you have recruited, as well as their families, once they join Ashbourne. The successful candidate will help ensure a consistent cohort of 20+ Iranian nationals at the college while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. /p p br /p p strong About Ashbourne /strong /p p Established over 40 years ago, Ashbourne has become one of the best private colleges for A levels in the UK for A levels. There are no cliques, snobbery and everyone should be able to find their niche. /p p br /p p strong Duties and Responsibilities /strong /p p br /p p strong 1 /strong strong Student Recruitment Outreach /strong /p p br /p p 1.1 Actively recruit students from Iran and other Persian-speaking regions, ensuring a consistent cohort of 20+ Iranian nationals at Ashbourne. /p p 1.2 Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, agents, and schools to support recruitment efforts. /p p 1.3 Where possible, travel to Iran, and other relevant locations, for recruitment events, school visits, and student engagement. This would include visiting UK contacts on a regular basis as well. /p p 1.4 Provide detailed and accurate information about Ashbourne’s academic offerings, the admissions process, and student experience as well as provide information about student life in London. /p p br /p p strong 2 /strong strong Relationship Management Student Support /strong /p p br /p p 2.1 Maintain strong relationships with students and their families from the point of recruitment through to their time at Ashbourne. /p p 2.2 Serve as the primary point of contact for the students you recruit, as well as their parents, offering support and guidance as needed. /p p 2.3 Work closely with personal tutors and support staff to ensure students’ academic and personal wellbeing. /p p 2.4 Organise extracurricular activities and social events to help students integrate and feel supported. /p p br /p p strong 3 Translation Communication /strong /p p 3.1 Create marketing materials, as well as social media content and campaigns on Iranian platforms, to be targeted to Persian-speaking students, parents and educational agents. /p p 3.2 Translate key documents and communications to ensure clarity for Persian-speaking students and parents. /p p 3.3 Assist with interpreting during meetings, admissions discussions, and parent interactions. /p p 3.4 Any other task requested by your line manager, Director of Studies or the Principal. /p p br /p p strong 4 Administrative Duties /strong /p p 4.1 Ensure we get students from enquiries to registration as smoothly as possible. /p p 4.2 Maintain accurate records of Iranian student recruitment and engagement using internal systems. /p p 4.3 Assist the Co-Heads of International Admissions in processing applications, as well as supporting them with any administrative duties they require. /p p 4.4 Collaborate with the wider academic and administrative teams to enhance the student experience. /p p br /p p strong 5 General Responsibilities /strong /p p 5.1 Attend and actively contribute to department and staff meetings. /p p 5.2 Attend and contribute to Student, Parent, Teacher trainings, education events, and Open Day events as required. /p p 5.3 Build and foster relationships characterised by kindness, care, empathy, and respect with colleagues, students and families. /p p 5.4 Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be assigned by the Director of Studies, Principal, or Head of Admissions, and demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and open-minded in carrying them out. /p p br /p p strong Person Specification /strong /p p strong 1 Qualifications, skills and experience /strong /p p 1.1 Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a positive and resilient approach to challenges.
