Ashberry recruitment are currently hiring Female Housing support workers in the South Yorkshire area, to work for a well-established organisation that prevents homelessness.

Assist with the delivery of a high-quality Programme of support which promotes client choice and control:

  • To address client support needs, enable them to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.
  • May work on a 1:1 basis with clients such as taking them out for coffee, taking them to appointments etc.
  • Liase with manager and senior support worker(s).
  • CCTV monitoring required.
  • Provide front of house support and reception duties, as well as administrative support including day-to-day office duties.
  • Assist the support team with sourcing and facilitating planned move-on options for clients where appropriate.
  • Support and develop volunteers as appropriate.

Project Information:

  • Single homeless females aged 18+
  • 11 Bed Hostel - 11 women in currently since Jan 2025.
  • Women may be victims of human trafficking.
  • Women live in the project for up to 6 months.
  • Females can be chaotic and present with a range of mental health needs and addictions.

Requirements:

  • Good IT skills with previous experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience of working in supported housing.
  • Level 2 NVQ or equivalent in a related field.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety.
  • Driver with full driving license.
  • Business insurance on your car.
