Housing Support Worker Contract: Casual - ADHOC Shifts
Location: Whitley Bay
Hours: Various
Rate: £12.60 PAYE HA - £14.12 HP
Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for Casual Housing Support Workers to work in the Whitley Bay area, on an ongoing basis. As a Housing Support Worker, you will be providing resettlement support to clients within a hostel environment.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out client needs and risk assessment for all referrals
- Support tenants through individual resettlement support plans
- Ensure clients comply with their tenancy agreement
- Support clients with welfare rights, budgeting, employment, education and training
- Develop links with the local community
- Ensure communication systems are accurately maintained and up-to-date
- Maintain Health and Safety incident and accident records
- Work within agreed organisation policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Experience of working in supported housing essential
- Experience working with Domestic Violence and Mental Health client groups
- Enhanced DBS Check
- Proven track record of providing information, advice and guidance to clients
- Basic IT suitable for an office environment
- Knowledge of basic housing management tasks (rent collection, tenancy agreements and arrears management)
