Trafford Council require a 6 month agency socialworker AMHP for out of hours and bank holidays .

Candidates MUST have EDT experience and be able to cover both Children’s and Adults mental Health.

Children’s experience is essential

Candidates arerequired to be warranted and have permission of the warranting authority for the use of it in other areas.

The post will require driving and it is hybrid initially (office based then from home).

Trafford Council are looking to recruit an experienced Level 3 agency Social Worker who is also an Approved Mental Health Practitioner to join our Emergency Duty Team. The post holder will provide a responsive, emergency social work service, outside of office hours across the borough of Trafford. The team provides social work assistance on an emergency basis to a range of vulnerable people, including families where children may be at risk, people with disabilities and/or acute mental health problems (including acting as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner).

You will be joining a team of experienced practitioners who take responsibility for ensuring Trafford meets its statutory functions, out of hours, with regards to Adult Social Care, Children Social care, and the duties of an Approved Mental Health Practitioner.
You will keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation relating to Adult Social Care, Children Social Care, and the Mental Health Act.
